An invitation from the Hershey Indivisible Team to join them and others on Wednesday morning to support students’ efforts across the country to raise awareness about gun violence and advocate for solutions.
Schools across the country plan to support students’ efforts to make a statement about gun violence. In Derry Township, parents and other adults plan to gather in Founder’s Park across Homestead Rd. from the High School at 9:45 am on Wednesday, March 14th. Students at Hershey High and Hershey Middle Schools will lead a “Stand Against Violence, a Demonstration of Community, Unity, and Remembrance” to show solidarity with students across the country. HIT members are encouraged to join others who are resolved to stop these reoccurring tragedies. The official start time of the Stand Against Violence is 10:00 am. The observance will last for 17 minutes in honor of the 17 lives taken so brutally in Parkland Florida.
